De-Eye Company, an alleged "militia" group, has sued Multimedia and journalist Manasseh Azure to the tune of GHC10,000 000 for defamation.

In a writ of summons sighted by Peacefmonline.com, the group is also demanding for an apology “in the same prominence on Joy TV and four publications in the Daily Graphic”.

An undercover investigation titled “the Militia in the Heart of the Nation” put together by Manasseh Azure captured the De-Eye group using the former seat of government, Osu Castle as their training grounds. Per the documentary, the group which is allegedly affiliated to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) trains men and women for security jobs.

Even though per the documentary government was aware of their presence at the Osu Castle, Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says government was not aware they were still in operation because they were evicted in October 2018.
