The Ada West District Police Command has arrested five persons suspected to be drug peddlers at Sege with a quantity of dry leaves suspected to be India hemp.
The Ada West District Police Commander DSP George Aboagye gave the names of the suspected drug peddlers as Emmanuel Sorgbojor, 68, Iddrisu Hamid, 25, Emmanuel Amenyo, 20, David Amartey, 19, and Evans Doku, 21.
DSP Aboagye told the Ghana News Agency that the suspects would be arraigned while the dry leaves would be sent to the Police Forensic Laboratory for confirmation.
He said the Police are continuing with their investigations.
DSP Aboagye called for more logistics for the district to combat crime.
