The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has honoured some staff, Institutions and taxpayers of the revenue collection institution at its 2018 edition of the annual GRA Staff and Stakeholders Awards Ceremony in Accra.

Despite Media which consists of (Peace FM, Okay FM, UTV, Peacefmonline.com, Hello FM and Neat FM ) was awarded for its public education efforts to support the Ghana Revenue Authority as well as disseminating tax information to the public

GRA also stated that Despite media gave out free –air time to educate taxpayers on pertinent tax issues to enhance the public’s understanding in honouring their tax obligations.

“As partners in business, you also honoured all invitations from the Ghana Revenue Authority and also provided coverage for various GRA activities,” the citation said.

The General Manager of Despite Media Group, Kennedy Osei together with the Productions Manager and Head of Programs at UTV, Roger Quartey received the award, which came with a plaque and a citation.

Receiving the award, General Manager for Despite Media Group, Mr. Kennedy Osei expressed his gratitude to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) for the recognition and the award.

He pledged the company’s support in assisting Ghana Revenue Authority to educate listeners and viewers and Ghanaians at large on the importance of paying tax.

The GRA also awarded taxpayers and business owners who fulfilled their tax obligations under the year in review.

Hardworking and loyal staff who dedicated time and sacrificed their efforts to ensure the running of the Ghana Revenue Authority last year were also rewarded.
