I Leave Akufo-Addo To God After Neglecting Me – Odike

Founder and Leader of United Progressive Party (UPP), Mr Akwasi Addai says he is saddened by what he described as President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s neglect after winning the 2016 elections.

According to him, the President has failed the UPP after it entered into an alliance with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the 2016 elections.

As part of the deal, Mr Addai, also known as Odike said President Akufo-Addo was supposed to give some officers of the UPP certain appointments after winning power, but after more than two years in power, nothing has been done.

“I am very pained and worried that the president has neglected me and my party. I have met with the President 15 times and each time he promises to fulfill his pledge,” he stated.

“Akufo-Addo ahead of the election asked me and my party to join forces with the NPP to vote out the National Democratic Congress, promising that after we win power, our party officers will be given appointment,” he cried on Accra based Neat FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

Asked what his next action is, Mr Addai, who threw his weight behind the then opposition NPP ahead of the 2016 elections, said “I don’t have anything to say or do. The person we are talking about is a President and so we will never fight him, I leave everything to God,” he said.
