#THM: "Don’t Disagree With Us By Saying EMT Members Only Have Big Heads"… – Dr Bawumia

Vice President and leader of Ghana’s Economic Management Team [EMT], Dr Mahamudu Bawumia says the current administration will not spill lies on Ghana’s state of the economy to score cheap political points.

According to him, he will only deliver “facts” to the people as his government is working tirelessly to revamp the ‘ailing’ economy in recent times.

Speaking at the maiden Economic Management Team Town Hall Meeting in Accra, Dr Bawumia noted that his delivery is based on well researched data – however, anyone who disregards must prove with ‘facts’ and credible evidence.

The data will speak for itself; if you disagree you should bring your own data and your record. But don’t disagree by saying that the EMT members have big heads. You will only resort to insults when you are allergic to facts,” he said.

The Vice President was addressing Ghanaians on the current state of the economy together with key members of the Economic Management Team (EMT)

Themed, ‘Our Progress, Our Status, Our Future,’ the maiden event will see the team tackle major issues of concerns that have been raised by sections of the public in recent times.

Prominent among them is the cedi’s recent depreciation challenge and government’s announcement of reduction of import duties, the exchange rate, matters on energy, the broader economy, and government’s flagship projects.
