NDC Lecture On Economy Was A Complete Failure - Richard Ahiagbah

The former general secretary aspirant of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Richard Ahiagbah has rendered as a total failure the Adongo led National Democratic Congress (NDC) lecture on the economy in response to the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia's town hall meeting.

According to him, the NDC cobbled together pages of criticism in response to the successful Town Hall Meeting by the government's economic management team led by the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia.

He reiterated that a lot was expected from the NDC's response but unfortunately did not gain any traction beyond the walls of Mensvic hotel as the NDC lacks credibility when it comes to management of the economy.

"The counter lecture by NDC was a complete failure because it offered no real alternative to the central economic issues to do with the cedi depreciation and the reduction of port charges", he chided.

"So, it's ironic that the NDC finds the voice to criticize the NPP, when they, the NDC are the architects of the economic quagmire Ghana finds herself. Ghanaians have caught on to the NDC's ways and this time merely organizing a counter lecture will not save them from their abysmal performance under President John Dramani Mahama", he stressed.

He reiterated that "not even prayer will cleanse the NDC from their demonstrable mismanagement of Ghana's economy."

He was of the opinion that honest admission that the Mahama led administration failed as managers of the economy is the only way the NDC will gain the credibility to criticize Akufo-Addo government hard work seeking to fix the mess they left and also gain reputation before Ghanaians.
