Komenda Sugar Factory Would Be Operating Now If . . . - Fred Agbenyo

Communication team member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fred Agbenyo has said that the Komenda Sugar factory would have been operating fully had NDC won the 2016 elections.

According to him, the factory has been left to rot because the government of the day feels credit will be given to the past government led by former President John Dramani Mahama should they make the necessary arrangements needed to get the factory operating.

He said the NDC’s policy then in government was to build the factory before growing the sugar cane to feed it, but unfortunately they were not given the opportunity to be in government to realize their dreams.

Though proceedings to get work done have been put on paper and handed over to the government in power, Fred Agbenyo says the ruling government has refused to continue the procedure claiming the NDC government went by a wrong method.

He spoke on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ panel discussion programme.
