Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide has asserted that no government under the 4th Republican dispensation has chalked such tremendous success within a relatively short span of two (2) years than the Akufo-Addo administration.

Thus, to him, it does not hold water for one to postulate that the current administration has contrive charges against the NDC's National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, just to divert attention from happenings in the country when the government is on the verge of run fulfilling all its promises in the first term.

“ . . there is no government under the 4th Republican dispensation since the practice of democracy in the 1992 Constitution that within the first two years has been able to chalk unprecedented achievements than President Akufo-Addo and his NPP government,” he claimed.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, he demanded to know “which government in Ghana has ever within the first two years rolled out Free SHS which today over 800 to 1,000 children enter into the second cycle institutions without paying a dime; which government was able to do that?”

“Which government has ever come into power where 16 taxes have been slashed and also introduced paperless at the Ports where the benchmark value which customers pay to clear their products at the Ports has been slashed into two?”

“Which government has been able to establish 79 factories within two years which are at various stages of completion than the Akufo-Addo and the NPP government? Today, we have a tile company at Kpone under the One-District-One-Factory. We make toilet roll in Nsawam Prison under One-District-One-Factory and I can continue to mention more,” he demanded.

He therefore wondered how possible it is for Akufo-Addo government to use Ofosu-Ampofo’s leaked tape to cause diversion when the government is seriously fulfilling its promises to Ghanaians.
