NADMO Mourns Major General Francis Vib-Sanziri

The  National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) is hit by the shocking demise of the the head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), Major General Francis Vib-Sanziri.

The sad incident occurred on Good Friday, 19th April, 2019 in Israel, where he has been since his appointment by the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in 2017.

In a statement signed by Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh, Director-General, NADMO said; "On behalf of the Governing Council, Management and Staff of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) wish to express our deepest condolence to his wife COP Mrs. Beatrice Vib- Sanziri, to his children and entire family."

"He was instrumental in the passage of the new NADMO Act 927 (2016) and other initiatives aimed at reforming the organization."

We are saddened by the news of the untimely death of Major General Francis Vib-Sanziri, Ghanaian Head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) and Immediate past Director General of NADMO, which occurred today, 19th April, 2019, in Israel.

On behalf of the Governing Council, Management and Staff of the National Disaster Management Organization(NADMO) wish to express our deepest condolence to his wife COP Mrs. Beatrice Vib- Sanziri, to his children and entire family.

Major-General Francis Vib-Sanziri was appointed to head NADMO in June , 2015 and handed over on March 17, 2017.

He was instrumental in the passage of the new NADMO Act 927 (2016) and other initiatives aimed at reforming the organization.

I request that all NADMO flags across the country for the next One (1) week fly at half mast in memory of our fallen hero.

May his soul rest well in the heavenly bosom of our Lord until we meet again in eternal glory above one day. Amen !
