A nice paper bag labeled with a beautiful portrait of His Royal Majesty and a logo of the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) were distributed to some revelers at the Palace.

The crispy crunchy snack, according to the manufacturers, was to celebrate the successes of both the King and the Government's flagship policy.

"For us we think food is everything and so the successes of the programme which was rolled out two years ago must be showcased everywhere and to everyone" Kwame Owusu, the manufacturer of the product asserted.

The PFJ branded chips were not the only item associated with the programme but also all bottled water which were served at the grounds had the embossment of the Asantehene and the PFJ logo.

"There is no better place to display such achievements than at such an important occasion as Akwasidae.  This is a non political platform and we believe it's an occasion to communicate to all Ghanaians about the need to ensure food security and create jobs for our youth" Kwame Owusu.

He explained the cost of the items was solely borne by him though he sought the approval and permission of the Ministry which is under the supervision of Hon. Dr.  Owusu Afriyie Akoto.

The PFJ has been touted both locally and internationally as one of the most successful flagship policies introduced by the President Akufo-Addo-led administration of the NPP.

The roll out of the programme has seen the fortunes of Ghana's agriculture changed completely from being net importer of food items such as maize, plantain, yam and others to a net exporter to some neighbouring countries such as Togo, Benin and Ivory Coast.
