Accra Lifted Easter Spirit At Indomie Fest

Happy families, peals of laughter, abundance of joy, limitless fun - that was Indomie Fest on Easter Monday at Efua Sutherland Children’s Park!

It goes without saying that each reveller left with a smile on face and joy in heart.

As promised, Indomie Fest turned out to be the biggest playground event in Accra. Efua Sutherland Children’s Park rolled out as a fun hub of games and activities where children of various age groups thronged the park along with parents and elder siblings.

For the uninitiated, Indomie Fest is an annual family funfair held on Easter Mondays, to provide families, including children, parents and even grandparents, a complete merry-making package under one roof to celebrate Easter.

The day began with long queues of revellers waiting for their turn to get into the children’s park to have a feel of the wonderful line-up of several fun-filled activities.

The children in particular, were spoilt for choice as there were endless options to make merry such as train ride, rock-climbing, piñata, face-painting, trampoline, bouncy castle, human snooker, giant slide, basketball and many more. Easter Bunny mascots roamed around and hugged children happily. Similarly, kids’ favourite cartoon and movie characters like Mickey Mouse, Superman and Spiderman posed for pictures.

Moreover, Indomie vendors had a busy day as they were spotted constantly rustling up a variety of delicious Indomie recipes.

On the other hand, the stage area was also constantly packed with back-to-back performances by budding musicians, MCs and DJs. Popular presenter Jay Foley controlled and entertained the crowd. Talented Kidz 2019 participants took the stage to showcase their super skills. Thereafter, noted musician and movie star Lil Win left the crowd spellbound with his hits songs and some of other artists’ chartbusters. Then with a few other performances, Indomie Fest rounded up for this year.

Throughout the day, footfall touched around 20,000 people approximately. Eight-year-old Isaac Bentil and his friends Elisabeth Asare Boakyi and Elisabeth Mensah said they had a lot of fun. “We enjoyed a lot in the bouncy castle and trampoline. We had candy cotton. It was fun and good exercise,” they said in unison. Parents were also seen dancing and playing with their children.

Multipro Private Ltd, the brand distributor of Indomie, the sponsor of Indomie Fest and K3 Events Network, the event organisers were happy with the successful turnout of the event.

Nonetheless, a bigger event can be expected next year. Keep your fingers crossed!
