C/R NDC Suspends Communication Officer

THE CENTRAL Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended its Communication Officer for a period of six months.

Kwesi Dawood’s suspension took effect from Friday, May 10, 2019.

According to a statement issued by Acting Central Regional Secretary of the NDC, Kwofie Matthew, “in the meantime, Lawrence Kwesi Ghartey, the Deputy Regional Communication Officer takes over as acting Regional Communication Officer.”

There was no stated misbehavior warranting the suspension of Mr. Dawood but the statement indicated simply that “subsequently, the matter has been referred to the Regional Disciplinary Committee for hearing.”

However, unconfirmed reports alleged that Mr. Dawood has been defrauding some business men especially hoteliers and car rentals in the region.
