Ghana Chapter Of African CSOs League On SRHR Launched

Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana [PPAG] has launched the Ghana chapter of African Civil Society Organization [CSOs], league on Sexual Reproductive and Health Rights[SRHR].

The launching of the Ghana chapter is to intensify awareness creation on sexual reproductive and health rights related issues on the related fourteen[14] thematic areas signed on by the government of Ghana.

However, the vision of the CSO league is to create an African society where all individuals freely exercise/enjoy their reproductive rights to sexual reproductive health and choice of quality health services whiles its mission is to champion the prioritization of SRHR by mobilizing network members to demand monitor and track implementation of SRHR commitments by governments of African countries.

The SRHR Online Tracking Tool is an initiative of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, Africa Region (IPPFAR) which PPAG is a member association, to, at a click of a button, know the various SRHR laws/conventions/protocols that their governments have signed unto at the Global, African Regional and National level and to know their level of implementation. This evidence can be used to undertake advocacy activities to help improve the provision of SRHR information and services in Ghana.

At the workshop, executives to lead the group were elected to fast track the facilitation duties of the activities of the group in Ghana.
