Sarfo Gyamfi Sure Of Kotoko Victory

The Director of Operations of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Gyamfi, has stated that he is confident the club will perform magic in this year's CAF Champions League. The Porcupine Warriors take on the Champions of Senegal, FC Linguere, in what promises to be an uncompromising preliminary battle on Saturday, in Senegal. For Kotoko as a club, this is the time to prove to the rest of Africa that indeed the club is the best ever to emerge on the continent as revealed recently by a reputable football statistical body. Though the Kotoko team constitutes a blend of experienced and inexperienced players as far as the continental competition is concerned, the Technical Team headed by Paa Kwasi Fabian, remains upbeat Kotoko can surmount the task ahead in Senegal. In an interview with Sports Fila, the Black President (as Sarfo Gyamfi is affectionately called), who happens to be firm believer in superstition in football, disclosed that management has done whatever is needed to heighten the morale of the players to deliver on Saturday. "We will prove to people what the real stuff in Kotoko is, as we venture into Africa this season and I believe by the time the Champions League is over, Kotoko will be victorious," the Black President intimated. FC Linguere are outsiders in the competition but in a game of football where everything is possible, it is incumbent on Kotoko not to underrate their opponents in this first leg as that could be costly.
