The church building for the Victory Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Dunkwa in the Asante South Presbytery has been dedicated to the glory of God at the cost of about Six Hundred and Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis.

The building was solely funded by a member of the congregation, Mr. Victor Gadri a businessman and his family.

Dedicating the building at a Church Service on Sunday at Dunkwa which was attended by a number of personalities, ministers of the Gospel and worshippers from the Dunkwa District of the Church, the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana the Rt. Rev Prof Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante stressed the need for church members to be properly accommodated in a serene atmosphere.

He said the Church would continue to encourage the local congregations to put up similar structures to enable church members to have concentrated minds to serve God well.

Rev Mante commended Mr Gadri and his family for allowing himself to be used by God to put up the building.

The Moderator also encouraged church members to continue with their giving spirit for the church to undertake more projects of this nature.

The Moderator cautioned the congregation to adopt the culture of maintenance to maintain the structure.

He said, failure to have regular maintenance would derail all the toil and sweat of the donor.

Rev Amissah urged members of the church to be united at all times since that was the only way the church could grow in numbers and infrastructure.

The Moderator was grateful to the traditional authority for releasing the land for the building and also their contributions to the church over the years.

Preaching the sermon, the Chairperson of the Asante South Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev Emmanuel Asare Amoah urged Christians to have faith in God so that they could please him.

He encouraged Christians to stop moving from one prayer camp to another but to seek the face of God at all times because he answered prayers of people who had strong faith in him.

Rev Amoah said the church had been given the power to transform society for the better which could only be accomplished if Christians followed the footsteps of Christ.

Mr Gadri in an interview said the Lord touched his heart and decided to provide a place of worship for the Church members in order to worship God well.
