Hearts Given A Five-Week Break

Kim Grant, Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak has granted his players a five-week break, after their elimination from the Tier One and Two of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalisation Committee Special Competition.

The break would commence on Wednesday, June 19 and would resume training on Monday, July 29.

This comes after the Phobian’s season ended, following a semi-final elimination by arch-rivals Asante Kotoko from the Tier One of the Normalisation Committee (NC) Special Competition.

The 5-4 penalty defeat to Kotoko last Sunday was the last straw that broke the camel's back for the Phobians season, having been knocked out already in the Tier Two by lower division side Unistar Academy.

The break would afford the team the chance to reorganize themselves for the upcoming season as they would be seeking to end their 10-year trophy drought.
