Mawuena Dumor Gets Hooked

Mawuena Dumor, Corporate Services Executive of telecommunications giant MTN, last Saturday got wedded at a very private marriage ceremony in Accra and is currently on her honeymoon. She got married to a gentleman called Trebrah, a Flight Officer of the Ghana Armed Forces. The event witnessed all the trappings of a military ceremony. The wedding ceremony was kept under wraps and at the eleventh hour, the venue was changed from the Holy Spirit Cathedral at Adabraka to the University of Ghana, Legon. Prior to the wedding, both families had remained tight-lipped over what would have been a talk-of-the-town ceremony flooded by journalists ever poised for a reckless display of camera flashes. Daily Guide gathered that only very close family relatives were invited while BBC Broadcast journalist, Komla Dumor flew down from the United Kingdom to attend his big sister�s wedding. Mawuena, a former employee of the Ashanti Goldfields, is the daughter of Professor Ernest Dumor, former Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA). Before joining MTN, she was Communications Manager for Newmont Ghana.She has an MBA in Strategic Planning and New Business from the MacCallum Graduate School, Bentley College Boston, MA, USA and also served as a Consultant for the John Hancock Services Reinsurance Group in the USA.
