NDC Cannot Distract Us; NPP Remains Resolute! - Nana B

The National Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B has assured Ghanaians that the Akufo-Addo government remains focused and resolute to deliver on its promises.

According to him, the NPP will not be distracted by opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He was commenting on the demonstration by the Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ) on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 dubbed “Kum Yen Preko”.

The demonstration was organized by CSJ to register their displeasure over what they term as "severe hardship" in the country.

Members of the group are unhappy with the state of insecurity, attack on media freedom and oppression experienced under the current administration.

The protesters were seen clad in red with placards with different inscriptions to send a strong message to the government.

NDC National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi decried what he believes as mismanagement of the economy by the NPP government stressing President Akufo-Addo  has only succeeded in bringing untold hardship on Ghanaians.

But speaking on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" programme, Nana B described the protest march as a "By Force Demonstration" without any relevant basis and substance.

About last week, I went to Parliament and upon reaching there, some of the NDC MPs and party executives were in distress because they have been tasked to look for money and bus party supporters from every constituency to demonstrate or else they will lose their seat…I can say for a fact...even at that they really suffered in getting the 7000 people to attend the demo…this by force demo cannot distract us . We are focused," Nana B stated.

"When you consider our achievements and our records comparing them to that of the NDC, you will see clear evidence that the two and half years of NPP is far better than the eight years of the NDC. I must say that we have dealt well with Ghanaians…and we will campaign vigorously on this same records to the good people of Ghanaians,” he added.
