The Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs (GARHC) has affirmed the nomination of Johnathan Adjetey Adjei known with stool name Nii Okang Duamro Nmashie III as the Mankralo of Teshie.

The Position of the Mankralo in Teshie, has been met with serious resistance anytime attempt is made for someone to be installed, after the demise of Nii Adjei Otchwenmah Nmashie III(late Mankralo).
Mr. Johnathan Adjetey Adjei's affirmation was contained in the House's committee's report presented to the factions by the GARHC on Tuesday at the Guggisberg Memorial Hall, Dodowa.

A three-member committee headed by Nene Kabu Abram Akuaku, Ada Mantse stated that "the Committee recommended that Nii Okang Duamro Nmashie III known in private life as Johnathan Adjetey Adjei should be nominated and installed as Teshie Mankralo.

This decision was affirmed at a General House meeting".

Other members of the Committee were the late Nene Atsure Benta III, (Prampram Mankralo) and Nene Kanor Atiapah III (Ningo Mankralo) while former Registrar of the House, Mr Samuel Yeboah Menkah was the secretary. The committee was inaugurated in 2013.

The report as stated in it's findings, established that:
1. The mankralo stool is patrilineal.
2. The Mankralo rotates among three(3) rulling houses namely: Nii Tetteh Otwe - We, Nii Klu Tsuru - We and Nii Klu Din - We.

The committee after the findings recommended that out of the three(3) ruling houses: Nii Tetteh Otwe We, Nii Klu Tsuru We, Nii Klu Din We, it was the turn of Nii Klu Din We to nominate a candidate for installation as Teshie Mankralo.

The committee requested that the gate whose turn it was to nominate a candidate (Nii Klu Din We) led by Ex W.O 1 Henry Sowah Otinkorang, Head of a family of Nii Klu Din We to provide a candidate for installation as Teshie Mankralo and they re-nominated Johnathan Adjetey Adjei known with the stool name Nii Okang Duamro Nmashie III as the Mankralo of Teshie and the committee affirmed the same.

In presenting the report to the various factions on Tuesday 9th of July, 2019 at the Guggisberg Memorial hall, Dodowa Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, President, GARHC, advised the factions in the chieftaincy dispute to resort to lay down procedure if they want to challenge the ruling reminding them that the Chieftaincy Act 759 of 2008 provided that such issues should be handled by the Regional House of Chief.

Nii Dowuona added that they could proceed to the National House of Chief and subsequently to the Supreme Court if they did not agree with the recommendations of the Committee.

He, however, urged them to unite and promote peace among themselves to enable the Teshie Traditional Council to be inaugurated as it was the only area out of the 13 traditional areas in Ga-Dangme that is yet to be properly constituted and inaugurated.
