'We Will Swallow The Bitter Pill For The Betterment of Ghana' - Tema West MP

Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has stated that most of the problems inherited by the NPP government under President Akufo-Addo are still in the progression stage.

According to him a major problem caused this government was to allow banks use 'fake' figures which did not tally with their works, therefore causing government to spend a lot to sanitize the banking sector.

To him, he feels sad when members of the NDC speak in public condemning the government for not fixing the 'broken' economy as promised in their campaign message.

The MP for Tema West Constituency in an interview on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme noted that the government of the day has no choice than to borrow money to develop the country.

In an obsessive manner, he assured the NPP government will solve most of the country's problems should they be given power to stay in government for 24 years.

“We are ready to take the bitter pill for the betterment of Ghana . . . Indeed, the bitter medicine is what we are experiencing today through hardship, but the happy days will soon come after the bitter medicine has worked on us,” he stated.
