Stop the "Comic" Reliefs; NDC Chairman Jabs Bawumia

Awutu Senya East Constituency chairman of the largest opposition party National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ofosu Agyare has described comment made by vice President Dr. Bawumia as comic relief.

He made these remarks in the studio of Pink fm on the 31st July edition of omanbapa kasa morning show.

Reacting to comments made by the vice President during the launch of activities marking the 20th Anniversary of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON), the student wing of the New Patriotic Party, in Accra on Monday, 29th July 2019, Vice President Bawumia dismissed attempts by the opposition NDC to cast doubt about ongoing construction of the dams, in a failed attempt to equalise for their infamous ‘Guinea Fowls to Burkina Faso’ saga.

“We have ‘One Village One Dam’ that is ongoing; very important dams that are being built. But they (NDC) go and take pictures of uncompleted dams and then say ‘this is what the NPP is doing’. But we are going to complete all of these dams.

“Our dams are not like Guinea Fowls that will fly to Burkina Faso. The dams are going to be here in Ghana. Even if a few are not well done, we will make sure they are properly done. They will not fly to Burkina Faso.”

In his reaction chairman Stephen Ofusu Agyare said "Bawumia should stop the comedian politics." This kind of politics where you say just anything to get people to laugh is over"

Ofosu Agyare further jabbed Dr Bawumia saying "we are now a serious country so for a whole vice president of the republic to stand before these young ones and talk about guinea fowls flying worse than the meaningless dams and missing fertilizers is just unfortunate as well as shameful"

it appears that chairman Agyare was furious at the comments of Dr Bawumia and raised important points and also asked very pertinent question "As for guinea fowls they can indeed fly, but what about the fertilizers? can it fly?" Chairman Agyare quizzed.

" You should concentrate on constructing meaningful dams rather than focus on comedy because those day are far gone", he stressed
