We Need To Invest Heavily In Our Security Apparatus – Nana B Reacts To Shooting Of Two Police Officers
Henry Nana Boakye, NPP National Youth Organiser, has called on the government to invest heavily in the security of Ghanaians.
Contributing to a panel discussion of Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", he held a strong view that the safety and security of the nation should be a top priority in the administration of the country because "you can invest in education, health, agriculture but without proper security apparatus it will amount to nothing...It's like using basket in fetching water".
"It is the responsibility of every country to invest a lot in their security system that is by giving them all the necessary tools needed to do their job...The central point is that if security is important then we should invest heavily to make it more attractive because if the foundation of a building is weak, how great the fall of that building!” he added.
He also urged the Police Administration to treat security issues regarding the general public with the same measure of seriousness they inject in clamping down on criminals when their own is attacked.
