Ghana Doesn't Celebrate Greatness; We Hate To See A Person Prosper - Dr. Boadi Nyamekye

General Overseer of The Maker's House Chapel, Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye has descended heavily on Ghanaians, stating emphatically that the nation hates the sight of great people.

According to Dr. Boadi Nyamekye, Ghana is a nation which kills the creativity and greatness of people, particularly of the youth; because being great irritates the country.

Delivering a sermon on "Prayer" on Sunday, September 1, 2019; the Head Pastor of the charismatic church expressed disgust at the envy in the hearts of many Ghanaians who don't want to see another person prosper in life.

He wondered why it should be strange for a young person to have a major financial breakthrough or become a billionaire.

To him, Ghanaians have been configured to spit venom over a person's progress in attempts to bring down the one at the zenith of success.

"Ghana doesn't know how to celebrate greatness. Ghana, greatness irritates us. When you're becoming great, people will do everything to; that is how Ghana is. That is why in Ghana, you don't see a lot of people hanging private jets because this country doesn't celebrate greatness.

"This country doesn't like that. If you're a young lady, buy a Range Rover; Sugar daddy...No, this country doesn't see that a young lady can work hard and be blessed. If you're a young man, go and buy a Bentley; ei he has gone for it (to wit gone for sakawa)," he rebuked.

He urged Ghanaians to appreciate the greatness of their fellow people and stop demonizing every person's achievements in life.

Citing Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, and other young billionaires in the world for utilizing their creative abilities to break boundaries of prosperity, Dr. Boadi Nyamekye was alarmed that "in this country, people can't see why a young man should be able to own that but go to other places in the world, there are 21-year old millionaires.

Because to be a millionaire, it's not about digging trenches; with creativity, somebody can break into another dimension with just creativity. Ghana does not promote and celebrate young people’s creativity".
