You're Not Even Head of Your Family; Yet You Insult Prez Akufo-Addo - Dr. Boadi Nyamekye Rebukes Ghanaians

Founder and Head Pastor of The Maker's House Chapel International, Michael Boadi Nyamekye has registered his displeasure over incessant raining of insults on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Giving a sermon in his church on Sunday, Dr. Boadi Nyamekye rebuked Ghanaians for abusing the President on daily basis wondering how a man of his status would be dressed down by people who haven't achieved anything great in life.

According to him, Ghanaians abhor seeing someone become great and will therefore do everything within their power to run him or her down in an attempt to cripple the greatness of the person.

Describing such attitude as "nonsense", the TMHCI General Overseer noted that this "pull him down" syndrome seems to be a characteristic of only Ghanaians.

"If you go to Nigeria, this nonsense that happens in Ghana whereby everyday politicians are abusing each other, you don't find it in Nigeria. Once, they finish their elections and they move on, they do their businesses, when it is election time; they come back and abuse each other. Here, the abuse is for four years," he said.

He advised Ghanaians to celebrate the greatness of achievers and not denigrate them.

"If this country celebrates greatness, somebody like Nana Addo, young people will not sit on radio and insult him because if for nothing at all; the father was the Head of State. The father left seat, he also became the Head of State. You have not even become the head of your family," he blurted out.
