Lamptey-Mills Awarded Again

The unrelenting efforts of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Great Lamptey Mills School Complex, Mr. Enoch Lamptey Mills in educating the general public through music on the dangers of unhealthy environment, has been acknowledged by Intra West Africa Communications Limited, publishers of West African International and the New Ghanaian magazines. The second edition of the New Ghanaian Corporate Excellence Awards and Lecture 2010 awarded the CEO of the schools for his meritorious efforts in educating the general public on the need to keep their environment clean.� Briefing the media shortly after he had received the award at the plush Airport Holiday Inn Hotel last week Friday in Accra, Mr. Lamptey Mills said he started the sanitation campaign in the year 2000 and the aim was to save the lives of Ghanaians�. He explained that the motto: Stay Clean, Stay Alive� campaign through music was the best medium he could educate the public on the dangers of filthy environments, I started producing the music videos on television with my own money and it is heartening to see others tapping into the initiative�, he said. He further stated that he was motivated by the saying, �getting sick is expensive and staying clean is free of charge.� Commenting on the Award presented to him at the colourful ceremony attended by Honourable Yaw Effah Baafi, Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture and Honourable Samuel Okudzeto for Information, he asserted that it would urge him on to come out with more innovative sanitation campaign songs. He thanked the organizers of the Award for the honour done him.
