Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) President Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah and president of Ghana Rugby Football Union Mr. Herbert Mensah have donated to the Black Queens of Ghana ahead of their Tokyo 2020 qualifier against Kenya.

The seasoned sports administrators stormed the Mariset Plaza Hotel, Osu and presented a list of items plus an undisclosed amount of money to the team.

According to the GOC President, the donation was aimed at promoting and motivating the team ahead of the Olympic Games qualifiers.

“As you know, the Black Queens are playing Olympic qualifier and I happen to be the president of Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), so I said to myself, whatever I can do to help to qualify, I will do”, Nunoo Mensah told the press assembled.

“When I heard they were in camp and some of us that we are into so-called least Finance sports, we know the challenges and the things that you go through when you are in camp”.

“Mercy Tagoe is my good sister so when I spoke to her on Thursday and she told me, they are in camp for an Olympic qualifier so if I can come and visit them, I said why not, so I spoke to some of the federation heads, and Ghana Rugby Football Union President, Mr. Herbert Mensah said, he will help to get some items on behalf of the federations.
