Ivy Appiah Honored As One Of Ghana’s Most Inspiring Women

Mrs. Ivy Appiah, Chief Executive Officer of Paridox Cosmetics, a subsidiary of Tiwajo Industries, has been honoured as one of Ghana’s most inspiring women.

She was adjudged the Most Inspiring Woman in Beauty and Cosmetology for having the passion for entrepreneurship and loves doing things her own way which has affected the teeming youth with job opportunities.

The maiden edition of the Ghana Most Inspiring Women’s award held over the weekend in Accra under the auspices of AfricMedia Galaxy and in partnership with Women In Aviation–Ghana Chapter, was to honour women who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour. They were drawn from fields of politics, trade, health, aviation, media, beauty and cosmetology, food and nutrition, social enterprise and charity in the country.

The citation accompanying the award paid glowing tribute to Mrs. Ivy Appiah as having the passion of doing things which people will have a taste or feel and commend. She loves doing things her own way to come out perfectly. This ushered her into producing ice cream way back in school and the passion led her to pursue Biochemistry in the University before entering into the production of cosmetics.

“Giving birth to Paridox Cosmetics has opened job opportunities for the teeming youth who would have found themselves on the streets of Ghana and a chunk of them in Accra” the citation read.

Speaking in an interview with the media after receiving the award, Mrs. Ivy Appiah thanked the organizers for acknowledging hard work in all sectors of the economy and expressed optimism such honor will motivate more individuals to work hard to spur development in the country.

She assured to eschew complacency but work hard together with management of Paridox Cosmetics to continue to bring unique and relevant cosmetic products unto the Ghanaian market.

Tiwajo industries is into the production of natural products and processing them into products of international standards. The company processes raw sheabutter into creams, lotions and natural oils for the hair and skin.

The company processes raw black soap with sheabutter and develop them further into shower gels and bar soaps in combination with some natural herbs, essential oils, honey, natural moisturizers to suit the customer’s preference. It is also into entrepreneurial empowerment and training as well and does these trainings with the aim of raising more entrepreneurs for national development.
