New Patriotic Party [NPP] Member of Parliament [MP0 for Effiduase-Asokore constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie has organized a two-day health screening exercise for officers at regional headquarters of the Ghana National Fire Service Station in Tema.

The exercise was in collaboration with some doctors and staff from St Johns Hospital and Fertility Center.

Mr Samuel Ampoh of the reputable hospital indicated that, the health screening was aimed at ensuring that fire officers remain healthy.

“We are doing it for free, it is for all the fire officers. It’s a free screening we are doing for them. As I said it’s part of our cooperate social responsibilities so all the cost is on St John Hospital and Fertility Centre.

The exercise which was the first of its kind, saw fire officers both old and new trooping to the screening centres with a recorded attendance of over 900 officers.
