GFZA Launches Maiden Magazine In Tamale

The Ghana Free Zones Authority [GFZA] has launched its maiden ‘Free Zone Magazine’ in Tamale during this year’s investment week celebration.

The magazine which tells an in-depth story of the Authority with captivating pictures of successful events held over the years was launched by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah.

He much-admired management of the Authority for publishing the Journal which is a Novelty idea to consciously promote the Ghana Free Zones Authority locally and internationally. 

2019 Investment Week Celebration

The 2019 investment week celebration was aimed at educating the public about general incentives offered under the Ghana Free Zones Scheme.

This year’s event was graced by business kingpins both from the private and public sectors and some government appointees. Also in attendance was the Gupke Naa, Alhassan Abdulai, the Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Seidu Alhassan and CEOs of selected companies in the Northern region.

Addressing dignitaries at the investment forum, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, Mr Michael Okyere Baafi noted that events of the Authority will not be centered in Accra alone.

He said other regions will be giving equal opportunity to host the Authority yearly for them to showcase their rich culture to the world and investors.

Mr.Baafi also added that, his office will sensitize potential investors, government agencies, civil society organizations, other stakeholders and the general public in the northern sector about the operations of the free zones programme and the incentives offered.

The CEO also assured that a regional office of the Free Zones will soon be opened in Tamale.
