Railway Authority Demolishes Unauthorized Structures At Kpone Katamanso For 97Km Railway Construction
The Ministry of Railways Development and the Ghana Railway Development Authority [GRDA] have demolished unauthorized structures on its land at Kpone Katamanso district on October 1, 2019.
This is to pave way for the private commercial developers, AFCONS Infrastructure Limited to construct a ninety-seven (97) kilometer railway from Tema to Mpakadan [Akosombo].
The exercise which was assisted by Thirty-Eight Police personnel from the National SWAT was as part of government’s effort to revamp the railways sector in Ghana.
An evacuation notice was served to all affected persons days before the exercise was executed.
