NPP Women Urged To Participate In Upcoming Maiden National Women’s Conference

A National Council Member of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Nana Adwoa Dokua, is rallying women across the country, especially, within the party to ready themselves and ensure they actively participate in the forthcoming maiden National Women’s Conference of the party.

The first-ever Women’s conference, slated for Takoradi, capital of the Western Region on 29th November, 2019, is billed to retool and re-energize the various women groupings in moving the party towards a resounding 2020 victory.

In the view of Nana Adwoa Dokua, women have been the largest beneficiaries of the many interventions, programmes and policies of the Akufo-Addo led NPP government and as such it was time for them to shoulder the party to a landslide victory in 2020.

And, this, according to Madam Adwoa Dokua who is also a Board Member of Cocobod, could be demonstrated by the women with massive attendance at the conference.

Per her estimation, the conference remains an ideal platform which the women must use to equip themselves going into next year’s elections, adding that the conference is an opportunity for the party to build the capacity of the women in the party and ensure that they articulate better the programmes of the government.

She was full of praises for the National Women’s Organiser, Kate Gyamfua, for instituting the first ever women’s meeting, a move she described as ‘genius’ and timely.
