The CEO of the Middle Belt Development Authority Joe Danquah has said the president His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo’s commitment of the $1 million per constituency is to ensure development in the various constituencies is done speedily.

He said this when he met with MMDCES in Eastern, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions at different times between 15th November and 29th November, in Koforidua, Kumasi, and Sunyani respectively as part of the consultative workshop on $1million per Constituency projects.

The workshop was to allow MMDCES to acquaint themselves with the operational mandate, strategic objectives and core functions of the Middle Belt Development Authority.

They went further to discuss the various works undertaken in their various constituencies through the mother institution, Ministry for Special Development Initiatives (MSDI) which includes institutional toilets, mechanised boreholes – three of them in every Constituency, warehouses ( 20 of them in the middle Belt Zone), six-unit classroom blocks, markets, clinics, ambulances  (112 of them to be received soon).

In furtherance to that, they showcased constituency-wise, all projects being undertaken currently to individual Chief Executives. Copies of such projects were given to each Chief executive.

Projects to be undertaken in the 2019 -2020 for their various constituencies were discussed and MMDCES inputs sought.
