Abronye DC "Crucifies" NDC Over CDD Report

Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye DC has lashed out at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over their statement on the  latest Afrobarometer survey report released by the Center for Democratic Development Ghana (CDD-GH).

Abronye DC called out the "hypocrisy" in the NDC stating categorically that the opposition party has no moral right to capitalize on the CDD report for political gains.

"I entreat Ghanaians to note that, NDC is now a U TURN party. They have always downplayed CDD but now they are trying to exalt CDD. This is the meaning of hypocrisy", he said in a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has given 12 reasons why the latest Afrobarometer survey strongly indicts the Akufo-Addo government.

According to the party's National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi; a careful analysis of the report shows the President has performed abysmally in all sectors of the economy.

“Akufo-Addo government has performed abysmally in all fronts of our national life such as the direction of the country, management of the economy, job creation, corruption, security, matters affecting the youth among others, compared to their performance in 2017,” he said in a press release.

Sammy Gyamfi further added that “this latest report corroborates widespread public opinion on the abysmal and unimpressive performance of this government which must be a great source of worry and a wakeup call for President Akufo-Addo and his team who have failed to deliver on almost all their lofty campaign promises".

But to Abronye DC; "The illustrious and legendary propagandist of the NDC in their flimsy and humbug press release stated among other lies"  clearly indicates that "the NDC has a miserable and unacceptable record when it comes to development and good gate keepers of the economy and also a clear attestation that, Akuffo Addo’s worst is John Mahama’s best".

RE: PRESS RELEASE BY THE NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS ON THE LATEST AFROBAROMETER SURVEY.

I have read with an utmost astonishment and amazement a hypocritical, distorted and insubstantial press release by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) dated 04/12/19 on the latest afrobarometer survey report released by the Center for Democratic Development Ghana (CDD-GH) and same signed by their lauded and esteemed propagandist Sammy Gyamfi.

The illustrious and legendary propagandist of the NDC in his flimsy and humbug press release stated among other lies that, “We note from the latest survey report, that the Akufo-Addo government has performed abysmally in all fronts of our national life such as, the direction of the country, management of the economy, job creation, corruption, security, matters affecting the youth among others, compared to their performance in 2017.”

He added that, “This latest report corroborates widespread public opinion on the abysmal and unimpressive performance of this government which must be a great source of worry and a wake up call for President Akufo-Addo and his team who have failed to deliver on almost all their lofty campaign promises.”
He then went ahead to spill and make several other allegations I deem as unnecessary and unintellectual therefore I would not bother citing same.

SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT

1. At paragraph 2 of the said press release, Sammy Gyamfi noted that, President Akuffo Addo according the latest CDD report has performed poorly and abysmally as compared to the 2017 CDD report.
It is pertinent to note that, CDD conducted research works several times during the eight years period of the NDC in power.
Why didn’t Sammy Gyamfi compare President Akuffo Addo’s 2019 performance to that of the NDC but to 2017 when Akuffo Addo was president. Sammy Gyamfi should have compared Akuffo Addo’s 2019 CDD performance to any of NDC’s performance.
I was only expecting Sammy Gyamfi to compare Akuffo Addo’s Government to that of John Mahama and the NDC.
This is a clear indication that, the NDC has a miserable and unacceptable record when it comes to development and good gate keepers of the economy and also a clear attestation that, Akuffo Addo’s worst is John Mahama’s best.

2. Sammy Gyamfi also noted that, according to the CDD survey, the presidency is the sixth most corrupt institution in the country and thus describing Akuffo Addo’s Government as the most corrupt.
I will like to state categorically clear that, the presidency under Akuffo Addo is not corrupt despite the assertions made by the report because on the 25th February, 2015 whilst John Mahama was president, a survey conducted by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) ranked the presidency under John Mahama as the second most corrupt institution in Ghana. See the link attached : https://www.myjoyonline.com/…/office-of-the-president-ranke…
So now, let us figure out this elementary analysis. In 2015 under John Mahama and the NDC, presidency was ranked the second most corrupt institution however, in 2019 under Akuffo Addo, presidency is the sixth corrupt institution.
Now the simple question is amongst these two presidents and administrations, which one is the most corrupt? Ghanaians should answer for themselves.

3. According to Sammy Gyamfi at paragraph 4 of his press statement he noted that, 59% of Ghanaians believe President Akuffo Addo is steering Ghana in the wrong direction.
Let me remind the NDC that, in 2016 whilst John Mahama was president and Sammy Gyamfi was the Spokesman for Ibrahim Mahama the brother of the former president who was more less a de facto prime minister according to a survey conducted by the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), stated clearly that, 70% of Ghanaians believe and are convinced that the NDC government is steering the country in the wrong direction.
So in 2016, 70% of Ghanaians believed the country under John Mahama was in disarray whereas in 2019, 59% of Ghanaians believe things are falling apart. This shows that, about 11% of Ghanaians believe things are much better under President Nana Addo than John Mahama and the NDC

4. The press release by Sammy Gyamfi clearly shows that, he is indeed a baby with sharp teeth and is lost in the jungle because the NDC has never credited CDD-GH and has always attacked the distinguished firm.
Flowing from the above, Former Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NDC Mr. Fordjour Nti on 10th July, 2005 in an interview with Daily graphic and the today news paper noted that, CDD - GH’s reports and surveys are bogus and a total nonsense and therefore should be rejected by Ghanaians.
See the links attached respectively.

ii) https://www.todaygh.com/cdd-pre-election-survey-total-nons…/

5. To add to that, Whilst NDC was in power, their director of communications at the office of the president and former Dep. General Secretary Koku Anyidoho after a CDD survey stated emphatically without mincing words that, CDD is just trying to help a sinking NPP and that Ghanaians should disregard their surveys and treat them as garbage.
See the link attached: https://mobile.ghanaweb.com/…/CDD-just-trying-to-help-a-sin…
Fast forward 2019, we have a baby with sharp teeth trying to make a case out of what his eminent NDC leaders has destroyed.
This unveils the hypocritical attitude of the NDC and their inconsistencies. Just like their Flagbearer John Mahama, the entire NDC fraternity is indecisive in nature and Ghanaians can not trust them because of their double standard behavior.

6. Whilst NDC was in power, because of their undemocratic and intolerant background, they consistently attacked the CDD to the extent that, the CDD had to respond officially to some of their unfounded attacks. However, the NPP as a listening party with a listening president has no track record of doing same.
See: https://mobile.ghanaweb.com/…/NDC-s-attacks-on-us-unfortuna…

7. Sammy Gyamfi also claimed the economy is now deficient.
Granted without admitting that the economy under NDC was something to write home about,
Why didn’t they employ nurses and teachers?
Why didn’t they pay teacher and nursing training allowance
Why didn’t the NDC pay all contractors?
Why didn’t they fix dumsor because John Jinapor accepted the fact that, the dumsor challenge was a money challenge. See: https://www.myjoyonline.com/…/dumsor-frankly-money-is-a-cha…

If the economy was good, why did they run to IMF to seek a bailout which placed an embargo all all public sector recruitment?

Why didn’t Mahama employ graduates if the economy was good? See: https://mobile.ghanaweb.com/…/I-m-not-a-magician-Mahama-tel…

In conclusion, I will like to posit that, the NDC has no moral right to capitalize on the CDD report to gain political points because they have a nasty background.

Also, I entreat Ghanaians to note that, NDC is now a U TURN party.
They have always downplayed CDD but now they are trying to exalt CDD. This is the meaning of hypocrisy

Thanks
