The Year 2019 Recorded A Healthy Financial Result – NPP National Treasurer 

The National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwambena Abankwah Yeboah has commenced the party for recording a stable fiscal year.

According to him, the NPP’s “finance at the end of November 2019 has been very healthy. However, we seek to intensify our fundraising initiative at the headquarters and throughout the Regions”.

He further explained that the challenge that the party’s prudent financial management brings is “how to sustain it and that’s is why members and party sympathizers will be called upon to participate in all fundraising methods to be re-launched in the coming year which will include donation through platforms, websites and other fundraising methods at the headquarters”.

His statement comes as he presented the 2018/2019 financial report on behalf of the National Council and Executive Committee at the just ended 2019 National Delegates Conference held at La Trade Fair.

The report also indicated that “the total excess income over expenditure increased considerably in the year 2018 to 2019 due to the prudent and valuable management of their operations. Expenditure on support giving to staff increased from 1.6m in 2018 to 2.2 m in 2019 over the previous years, a percentage increase of 71%, this was largely due to staff pay allowance raised to compensate inflation and other expenditures. 

Membership continuations and other revenues inflows, working together with the national executives and a number of initiatives and other traditional ways of funding were able to raise funds for our operations in a total of 43,07500m has been realized so far with all the efforts that we have made from last year till date.”

He continued; “Based on this collective effort, we have managed to fund our operations successfully despite high increase in operational cost. It is very important that we all show commitment in deepening our various revenue streams and fundraising methods to be developed for the party. This will help create sustainable income for our party. Our obligation of registering members and paying membership dues will be structured using technology and innovation membership dues..to be collected at the constituency levels and membership renewal shall be re-launched by March 2020 to enable the party to update its data base of membership. Our balance sheet in 2018 shows a positive growth compared with 2017 and net asset in 2017 went up from 3m to 4.84m in 2018”.

Programs and project 

“We promise to ensure sustainable financial support for the funding of Regions and constituencies as executive and I must say we have been able to achieve it and they can attest to that. We have purchased a modern press to enhance efficiency in stationary and printing activities at the headquarters and assured them (Regional and constituencies) for continued support for the smooth running of the party’s activity.

On Friday the 13th December, 2019, the National Executives through its Finance Committee and Event Committee held first and series of fundraising activity for the party to mobilize resources for party development and victory 2020 which went on successfully…The Year 2019 recorded a healthy Financial Result.”

On behalf of the National Council, he expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the party faithfuls and the business community as well as the general public for supporting the NPP in cash and kind.
