Hayatou Arrives For Caf Awards

President of the Confederation of African Football (Caf), Issa Hayatou, is expected in Accra on Tuesday night for the Glo-Caf Awards. The event will be held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra on Thursday 11 March to crown the 2009 African Footballer of the Year. A 115-member crew from South African event organizing outfit, True Colours Event, are in Accra and have begun preparations for the Gala. Chief Executive Officer of True Colour Events, Bobby Scott, is aiming at putting a superb show for worldwide audience. "We have a crew of 115 that will be used to put this master piece together and this includes artists, production crew, dancers, medics, security, sound/visual/AV technicians, d�cor designers & stylists, creative directors, show callers, stage and logistic managers, ground support, runners and choreographers," Scott is quoted on the Cafonline.com Musicians P-Square from Nigeria, Ishmael Lo of Senegal and Ghana's Kwabena Kwabena will perform on the night. Ghana's Michael Essien is battling club mate Didier Drogba and Inter Milan's Samuel Eto'O Fils for the African Footballer of the Year gong.
