Presiding Bishop of the Victory Bible Church International (VBCI), Rt. Rev. N.A Tackie-Yarboi, says it is important for the church not to forget the things that God does, emphasizing that �Leadership must always leave a memorial that future generations can lay hold on to make what they inherited much better than they met it.� This was contained in a statement issued in Accra to mark the 25th Anniversary of the VBCI. PRESS RELEASE Accra, March 9, 2010--The Victory Bible Church International (VBCI) will launch its 25th Anniversary on Saturday 13th, 2010 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra under the theme �Celebrating the goodness of God�. VBCI is a Charismatic Church founded by the Presiding Bishop, Rt. Rev Nii Apiakai Tackie-Yarboi on 2nd June 1985. The Church exists to bring people to conversion in Christ Jesus and Membership in His family, maturing them to express God in human form and to equip them for their ministry in the Church and fulfill their God given mission to the world, in order to magnify God. The Chairman of the Anniversary Committee, Elder Reginald Sackey-Addo has hinted that the year-long celebration will provide the church the opportunity to thank God for all His goodness for the past 25years and a time of re-dedication and total dependence on God for the years ahead. Elder Sackey-Addo said the Anniversary Committee will be employing the gifts and talents of individuals in the church to augment its work thus making the celebration a family affair. The Presiding Bishop, Rt. Rev. N.A Tackie-Yarboi�s emphasis will be on the need for the Church of God to celebrate the goodness of God towards her. The Bishop said it is always important for the church not to forget the things that God does, emphasizing that �Leadership must always leave a memorial that future generations can lay hold on to make what they inherited much better than they met it� he added. He said prayers will be said for the nation, so that growth and development will be experienced by all citizens of this great land, Ghana. The Bishop at the inauguration of the Anniversary Committee praised both the past government and the current government for the continuous growth, development, peace and stability in the nation and said more needs to be done to improve the living conditions of the ordinary Ghanaian. �We have all the infrastructure in place, our economists says the economy is taking shape among others but the ordinary Ghanaian must be able to feel it and that is the challenge for government�. He asked Ghanaians to continue to pray for peace for the nation and wisdom for all those in power. Activities line-up for the year-long celebration includes Family Games, Donation to Orphanage, Musical Concerts, Health Walk, Crusades, Seminars, Evangelism Outreach Programmes, Anniversary Service, with the climax being the inauguration of HOREB, the Church�s five thousand-seater Auditorium at Awoshie among others.
