The Member of Parliament [MP] for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency of the Western Region, George Mireku Duker with the support of the chiefs and good people of Mile 8, Adieyie performed a colourful sod cutting ceremony for the construction of an ultramodern market centre for the good people of area.

The GNPC-sponsored project proudly lobbied for by Hon. George Mireku Duker will see to the construction of a modern market center which entails shops, stands, open spaces, access points for vehicles among others.

The lawmaker used the opportunity to reiterate the good works of the NPP government in areas of Free SHS, NABCO, Railway Sector development, 1D1F, Road Infrastructure which will soon see Tarkwa-Takoradi road dualized starting from 2020 among others.

He assured the good people of Mile 8 that, he will continue to work hard to make Tarkwa-Nsuaem one of the best Constituencies in Ghana.

The Chiefs of Mile 8, Adieyie however thanked hardworking Member of Parliament and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for remembering them in the distribution of the national cake and declared their unwavering support in ensuring that, the project is completed in time and managed properly.

Hon. Duker in his closing remarks appealed to the gathering to take good care of their children and precisely to protect the young ones as there have been reports of kidnapping and murder of some young ones in the Municipality lately.

The entire gathering was thrown into a state of joy as the chants of #4MoreForDuker
#4MoreForNana became Imminent.

However, Hon. George Mireku Duker has distributed 20 tricycles to some constituents on ‘work & pay’ basis. The second phase of the distribution which includes distribution of tricycles, cars (work & pay) and deep freezers to petty traders is scheduled for next month.
