Ignatius Gaisah Returns To The Tracks

Ghanaian long jumper, Ignatius Gaisah has set himself a final place target at the World Indoor Championships in Qatar. The Dutch based athlete has regained full fitness after a knee injury kept him on the side lines for close to two years. Gaisah qualified for the event as a wild card following the withdrawal of sprinter Vida Anim from the competition. In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Ignatius Gaisah expressed his delight at returning to the sport but sought to down play his chances at the competition. �I�m very happy to back again but it hasn�t been easy for me,� he said �but it�s always great to be among the best in the world. Gaisah who once won the Indoor competition in 2006 added that �I�m looking forward to jump there but nobody should expert something great from me.� The Indoor Championships starts on Friday 12th March and ends on Sunday 14th March.
