It’s Time Persons Below Age 40 Run For President In Ghana – Joyce Bawah

Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari has proposed for Government of Ghana to consider reducing the age limit of Presidential aspirants in the country.

She is calling for persons under 40 years to be given the opportunity to run for President.

She wants Article 62 of the 1992 constitution which spells out the age limit for Presidential aspirants to be reviewed.

Making reference to the 35-year old Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin; Madam Joyce Bawah noted though it is commonly said life begins at 40, it is however not entirely true because she believes in the younger generation below this age limit.

“Yes, life they say, begins at forty (40) but all of us who are above 40 or in our 40s also know that life actually starts way before 40!”

“Finland’s PM is currently thirty-five years. It is time for Ghana to reconsider the provisions of Article 62, I think. Yes, life they say, begins at forty (40) but all of us who are above 40 or in our 40s also know that life actually starts way before 40! My thoughts. 2/2”
