Sammy Gyamfi’s Arrest: Gov’t Seeking To Shut NDC Mouthpiece – Lawyer Francis Sosu

Human rights lawyer and NDC Parliamentary candidate for Madina, Francis Xavier Sosu says the arrest of the party’s Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, is an attempt by government to intimidate the opposition party.

Francis Sosu, who was at the Police Headquarters in Accra together with other bigwigs of the party, held that the government is using State machinery to bulldoze them but the NDC will not be silenced by any intimidation from President Akufo-Addo and his government.

Sammy Gyamfi was arrested by the Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on Monday, January 27, 2020 after contributing to a panel discussion on UTV's "Adekye Nsroma".
A report filed by Peace FM's Reporter, Isaac Oduro stated that Sammy Gyamfi’s arrest was associated with a cybercrime case filed against him by the Jubilee House.

He has been granted a self recognizance bail.
