NVTI Roles Out Special Programs For Returnee’s Migrants

The National Vocational Training Institute has rolled out a (training) program in eleven 11 Skill areas targeted at the Returnees from the Diaspora and Potential Migrants.

NVTI believes that a skilled nation will not have a burden of unemployment. It would therefore be of great stride for the government to consider supporting NVTI to provide skill training to former employees of the defunct banks and those engaging in galamse to go into self-employment.

The Institute provided free skills training to the employees in a variety of programs with support from some of its Donor Partners which some of the former employees of defunct banks has greatly benefited.

The program is set to provide Start-Up Kits to the graduates to enable them go into Self-employment after graduation.

A number of the targeted group have already graduated from the training programme and have benefited tremendously from it and are now on attachment.

This is amongst one of the many innovative programs by the new Executive Director Mrs.  MawusiAwity.

The program seeks to extend its roots to other European countries soon.

NVTI is on an audacious path to change the phase of skill training and apprenticeship in Ghana.
