New Voters' Register: Leave Ghana If You Feel Hot - Abronye Tells Opposition Parties

New Patriotic Party [NPP] Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, has asked members of the opposition NDC and other smaller opposition political parties against the Electoral Commission's [EC] new register compilation to leave the country if they feel too hot.

According to him the government of President Akufo-Addo will not sit aloof and watch the EC's constitutional mandate to perform its core duty submerged by the opposition parties.

"Who are we to complain about the decision of the EC when the laws of the country are being exercised?” he asked.

He says the NPP has no duty to defend the EC as the NDC claims, but the party will not back any citizen or group who do not recognize the powers the constitution give the Commission.

He has therefore asked any person or group of people who can't stand the EC's decision, to pack their personal stuff and cross the border to any neigboring country they will feel better.

“ . . if you are a political party who has refused to abide by the laws of the constitution, you can cross the borders of the land to stay in a different country of your choice,”  he said on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ show.
