Obuasi Ashgold moved to the top position of the Premier League when they beat visiting Real Tamale United (RTU) by a lone goal in their 22nd Week Glo Premier League match at the Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium on Sunday.
After a scoreless first half, it was Ashgold who mounted series of attacks on RTU and in one of their forays they earned a free-kick in the 70th minute just outside the penalty box.
Emmanuel Adjetey�s kick sailed straight into the net leaving RTU�s keeper Nana Bonsu with no answer to save the situation and to send the home fans into wild jubilation.
At the Anane Boateng Sports stadium at Abrankese near Kumasi, Kess FC put aside the sorrows of the death of the player, Bartholomew Yeboah to beat Dormaa Aduana Stars 2-0 on Saturday.
