Vote For Development, Not Party - Amewu Tells Electorates

Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu, has charged electorates in the Hohoe constituency in Volta Region to vote for development and not on party lines in the forthcoming general elections.

Peter Amewu who is contesting for the Member of Parliament seat in Hohoe for the third time on the ticket of the NPP said “anywhere I went, people said I am good but my affiliation with the elephant is the problem”.

Presenting 26 sewing machines to tailoring apprentices who had graduated in Hohoe, the Minister advised the people to note that “the elephant is just a symbol”.

“I presented myself twice to represent Hohoe in Parliament . . . my brothers and sisters, the elephant is just a symbol. It won't work. Is it not me Johnny who will work for you?” he questioned.

He assured the residents of advanced development if voted as Member of Parliament on December 7, 2020.

He, however, advised the electorates to take advantage of the various policies introduced by the Akufo-Addo government to better their lives.

Peter Amewu has started his door to door campaign to get firsthand information about the challenges and aspirations of the residents in Hohoe.

He later attended a meeting of some 55 microcredit groups under the umbrella of Village Savings and Loans Association where he promised monetary support and soft loans from the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).
