Town hall Meeting: Dr. Bawumia Was Very Factual In His Presentation - Nana B To NDC

NPP National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, aka Nana B, has replied critics who think the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is being deceptive over the number of promises fulfilled.

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during a Townhall meeting disclosed that 78 percent of the 388 promises made in 2016 have been fulfilled.

“Notwithstanding the difficult economy we inherited, we had to get on with it and start to fix the problems. We were cognisant of our many promises. In fact, at the direction of President Akufo-Addo, we put together a dashboard of manifesto promises immediately after we were declared winners of the 2016 election, and before we were sworn into office. We have been using this dashboard to track our manifesto promises since,” the Vice-President revealed."

However, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the Vice President's comment as deceptive.

But Nana B says everything Dr Bawumia said was factual and that the NPP administration has even exceeded its promises; singling out the 'one constituency ambulance one' delivery which according to him was not even a promise made in their manifesto.

Speaking on Friday’s edition of Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Nana B said the Townhall meeting and Results Fair “was based on our manifesto and so if you want to critic, go into our manifesto and juxtapose it to our achievements; whether or not we have delivered”.

He further asked the NDC not to only criticize but also acknowledge the fact that govenrment has also fulfilled other campaign promises made aside from the ones in the manifesto.
