Muntaka And Banda MP Responding To Treatment After Konongo Accident

Asawase Member of Parliament and Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak and his deputy, Ahmed Ibrahim, Banda MP are responding to treatment after they were involved in a near-fatal accident at Kubease near Konongo, Saturday morning.

The members of parliament were driving from Accra for a funeral in Sunyani when their SUV got involved in an accident,

According to reports, an immigration vehicle made U-turn on the Konongo highway, and in the driver’s bid to avoid running into the vehicle, they veered off the road and entered the bush. 

They were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) with their entourage including police officers and driver.

Eric Adjei, the Deputy Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Bono region said, “It is with a grateful heart that I wish to inform all well-wishers that the two honourable members of parliament are fine and responding to treatment.”

The two legislators were said to have been discharged at about 3 pm Saturday afternoon.

Earlier today news of the Minority Chief Whip and his deputy involving in a near-fatal accident was all over social media. It is with grateful heart that I wish to inform all well-wishers that the two Honorable members of parliament are fine and responding to treatment.

The members of parliament were driving from Accra for a funeral in Sunyani when their SUV got involved in an accident, they were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital with their entourage (Police officers and Driver) earlier today.

The members of parliament and everybody on board is fine and doing very well, we are grateful for your prayers and we wish them a speedy recovery.
