Arsenal's Nasri Fears For World Cup Spot

Samir Nasri has admitted that he fears he could lose out on a World Cup place because he is being played out of position. Nasri was raised as a central midfielder in France, where he made his name with Marseille. But since his switch to Arsenal he had found most of his playing time on the flanks. And the 22-year-old does fear that his lack of action in the middle could count against him with France coach Raymond Domenech. "It's true that when I come back into the middle, that's where I feel most effective," Nasri told the News of the World. "I will play anywhere for my club and I just hope it doesn't cost me. "It's very tough to see you're not involved for your country but I'm convinced I will be given a chance. "There is still time before the World Cup squad is named. "In recent weeks I feel I have been getting back towards my best form and that is very important with the end of the campaign we have in store."
