Hon. Thomas Forkuo Brings Hope To Ahafo Ano North NPP

Hon. Thomas Forkuo has affirmed his commitment to helping the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ahafo Ano North constituency to regain its glory and as well retaining the seat in election 2020.

The constituency which is currently represented by Hon. Sanid Sulemana was won under close circumstances and is yearning of great hope and unity.

Hon. Thomas Forkuo who is currently Assembly man for the TEPA WEST Electoral Area (the Florida of Ahafo Ano North) holds a first degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana and an LLB.

It is worth to note that as the New Patriotic Party celebrates 20 years of the existence of TESCON. Hon. Forkuo is a past President at the University of Ghana Branch when the NPP was in Opposition.

The incumbent who is faced with stiff opposition from polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, Traditional rulers, Market women, teachers etc. for a myriad of issue is also contesting and seeking re-election. The complains range from the incumbent’s inability to voice out and represent the people as desired.

The seat which was closely won from the NDC , as the NDC approached the 2016 elections in a division that saw Mr. Bright Oppong (Independent ) gunner 2,617 Votes and Mr. Daniel Kyei (PPP) 879 votes break away from the core NDC votes.

It is well to note that the NPP is duly honored to have the young and vibrant person in Hon. Thomas Forkuo who has well acceptance with all the critical stakeholders in the constituency due to his involvement in developmental initiatives in the community.

Hon. Thomas Forkuo has outline three key areas as points of focus for him, namely reward for hardworking party members, provision of social amenities in the area of health infrastructure, education facilities, water provision among others and the last being economic empowerment for the youth who are mostly un employed.

It is the prayer of all well wishes that the 25th April primaries would begin the journey to lifting the changes on constituents and affording the great opportunity for the future.

It is fair to note that Hon. Forkuo was frustrated at the constituency level from the picking of nominations stage to the filling which saw the constituency Chairman fleeing from post and going into hiding. With the support of the teaming youth the form was well received by the Regional secretariat in Kumasi.
