2nd Ghana Finance Week (GFW) Slated For May 2020

Precise Communications ltd is delighted to announce the 2nd Ghana Finance Week (GFW) slated for 7th-9th May 2020 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Ghana Finance Week (GFW) created in 2018, is a festival of financial industry events that promotes, celebrates the best of finance and encourages financial inclusion while providing networking, social, learning and business opportunities for all.    

GFW connects with thousands of people made of finance professionals, policy makers, students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, nonprofit leaders and many others, through a range of  financial related signature activities.

GFW aims among other things are:

Creating a platform for financial industry ecosystem to converge to network, share ideas, dialogue and leverage insights and perspectives to advance Ghana’s financial services growth to drive Ghana’s financial inclusion agenda.

To create a platform for financial services providers and regulators to showcase, promote their product services to educate and inform the public about the various financial products that can enhance their life and business.

To bridge the financial inclusion gap.

To promote excellence and innovation within the financial sector.

KEY FEATURING EVENTS:

FINANCIAL SECTOR CONFERENCE 

The Conference brings together financial and business leaders to share ideas, learn and discuss the latest local and international financial sector trends and opportunities.

It will provide useful insights into the thinking of the captains of the finance industry as well as provide a timely platform for the exchange of ideas, industry updates and knowledge for finance professionals, business leaders, policy makers, development partners and civil society leaders. The conference format will be keynotes, panel discussion and break out master class sessions. 

FINANCIAL SECTOR  EXPO:

It will also provide a marketplace platform for financial services providers to promote, educate and engage  with their consumers on their products and services they offer. This will be a one stop financial services expo, where the general public will have access to information on the various products, services of the financial sector in Ghana. 

The expo will feature exhibitions, various educational seminars on finance such as Tax clinic, Pension clinic, Financial Planning for Retirement, deal room to connect investment seekers with investors and many more.   

FINANCIAL SECTOR INNOVATION HACKATHON:

The financial innovation Hackathon is a 48 hours contest which gives people of various skills set such as developers, designers, marketers, product managers, finance professionals and start-up enthusiasts an opportunity to come together to share ideas, form teams, build products and launch start-ups in the world of finance.

How It Works

Beginning with open mic pitches on Day 1; attendees bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. On day 2, teams focus on development. They will have mentors who will come around to assist various teams in validating their ideas, practicing LEAN Start-up Methodologies and building a minimal viable product. 

It will be climaxed with a pitch session where teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of expert judges, and win some prizes.

As participants learn how to create real financial technology products, they will have the opportunity to meet the very best mentors, investors, cofounders, and sponsors who are ready to help them get started.
