COVID-19: GLICO Partners The Military To Educate Ghanaians Using Helicopters

GLICO Life insurance company together with the Ghana Armed Forces is embarking on an educative campaign to help curb the spread of the deadly Coronavirus also known as COVID-19.
 
Dubbed and hush tagged “#Stayhome” campaign, the military with a branded GLICO helicopters will be flying over some areas including Kasoa, Nsawam, Prampram, and its environs to educate indigenes on the need to stay home.
 
The helicopters will be identified with the inscription “Stay Home”, “Stay Safe”, and “Stop The Spread”.

Ghana’s COVID-19 cases hit 313 in seven regions with six deaths
 
Twenty-six new cases have increased Ghana’s COVID-19 caseload to 313, the Ghana Health Service has confirmed.

The GHS website said: “Enhanced contact-tracing and testing is ongoing in Ghana and has resulted in an increased number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The cases were in the Ashanti, Greater Accra, and Central Regions.

It also said one more patient has died.

“As of 7 April 2020, 23:30 hr, a total of 313 cases of COVID-19 with six (6) deaths have been recorded”, the GHS website said, adding: “The regional distribution of the cases are as follows: Greater Accra Region has most cases (274) followed by the Ashanti Region (25), Northern Region (10), Upper West Region (1), Eastern Region (1), Upper East Region (1) and Central Region (1),” the GHS update noted.
